New Hope’s youth ministry is headed up by J.T. Haynes, our youth pastor. Currently the ministry consists of youth from 7th to 12th grade and meets every Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm.
The goal of New Hope’s youth ministry is to have a place where the youth are cared for and loved while encouraging them to grow in their faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
The theme of our youth ministry is based on 1 Timothy 4:12:
“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
There is an awesome opportunity here at New Hope to grow and expand our youth group ministry. Our mission is to expand the youth ministry outside the walls of the church building. We are looking forward to holding youth events, on and off the church grounds in order to facilitate and nurture the spiritual growth of the youth. We also ensure that our youth are involved as much as possible in other ministries and functions at church. For example, the youth have been a huge help during the summer with the food pantry and they are included in functions such as taking up the offering during worship service. We believe, the more our youth are involved, it will instill in them a lifestyle of service to others and Christ.
